-Someone interested in western heritage, history, and community
-Strong attention to detail, especially when handling historical materials or exhibit work
-Previous experience in museum, gallery, archival, or cultural settings is an asset (but not required)
-Comfortable working with people or prefer to work independently? We have roles for both
-No experience needed – just a willingness to learn!
Archival Digitization
Work with our document scanner to digitize cancelled brand files dating back over 100 years.
-Strong attention to detail and dexterity to handle fragile paperwork needed
-Work independently with guidance from staff
-Very flexible! Volunteer anytime we’re open, for as long or as little as you like
Museum & Gallery Assistant
Help create and maintain exhibits while working with our cataloging system to index and art.
-Previous experience with museums/galleries or experience in history/art would be an asset here.
-Work independently or in small teams with guidance from staff
-Schedules vary depending on project but is very flexible
Branding Experience Assistant
Deliver an engaging, educational, and authentic western experience for visitors at the Branding Experience.
-Help attendees navigate the brand design process
-Discuss the history and impact of branding
-Collect donations and promote Stockmen’s programs
-Events are mostly in the summer and runs for 3-4 hours outdoors at various locations
